217439 2004-02-22 09:06:00 A long time back I asked how to type in the Pound symbol instead of the $ symbol. I think I had to put it on using "control+$", I think. Can someone remind me how to do it Please. TIA PJ Poppa John (284)
217440 2004-02-22 09:11:00 Hi PJ

I have just written a 50+ page report for a UK company, got sick of the £ sign...

ALT-0163 using the number pad, not the numbers above the qwerty keys.

Hold ALT down and type 0-1-6-3 on the Number Pad keys, release ALT key ... ££££

Spending some of that hoard of £ notes on a nice scanner for Maryann?

217441 2004-02-22 09:11:00 Look for the Character Map in your Start Menu.

It will tell the ALT+numeric combination for any character.
