217369 2004-02-22 07:31:00 Ok guys and gals, I am totally sick of windows media player and am looking to ditch it out of my system for something else. I have a large amount of music and videos and want something that will handle these easily and in many different formats ( codecs )
Any suggestions out there??
Is there any to avoid?

Please don't suggest real player as I won't put that anywhere near my PC thanks.
I have also tried Musicmatch Jukebox but got sick of it trying to get me to buy songs all the time.

217370 2004-02-22 07:59:00 Winamp 5 or Foobar2000 + ZoomPlayer + FFDshow + AC3filter will solve all your media problems. PoWa (203)

217373 2004-02-24 03:28:00 I dont see what ur problem with windows media player is, iohave tried winamp and a host of others but i always found win media player was the best of the lot especially now with the new miniplayer controls when u minimise it w00t, not having to maximise the window to do anything to the music i can just keep workin and change songs as i want robert6655 (5176)
217374 2004-02-24 04:17:00 Winamp 2.80 - doesnt have the stupid built in video support, the perfect way to reck the perfect MP3 player add video support Pete O'Neil (250)

217376 2005-05-23 11:52:00 I would use Winamp 5.09c (i think that is the lastest version) to play your .mp3's, .wma's or any music source and keep Windows Media Player to play movies/videos when needed, don't add them to your library or anything like that, it just becomes a hassle. Personal preferance here of course :P Winamp isn't a very good movie player, its just not its thing. ProMaz (34)
