| 218124 | 2004-02-25 12:08:00 | Well, some years back I needed some, what I obtained was a fiberglass reinforced, self adhesive tape teflon tape from 3M, and the Supplier was Action Packaging. It stuck well, was weather resistant, tough as old boots and cost a fortune. It was QUITE a while ago, but if you get it , you will have a next millenium mouse foot. :-) It's heat resistant too, so hi-speed mousing is no problem. Sorry, but I can't remember the tradename. | 218129 | 2004-02-27 04:06:00 | The only cheap source of PTFE, ie 'Teflon' (tm) tape I know of is pipe thread sealing tape from a hardware shop. It is very thin, and being PTFE, you wouldn't be able to stick it, so it would be no use for a mouse :D | Terry Porritt (14) | ||
| 218130 | 2004-02-27 10:02:00 | A possible source could be an electronics shop, they somtimes sell it as a dielectric in rather small pieces, but not cheaply. The problem is that being about the slipperiest stuff known, glue doesn't stick too well. Another source might be Ceelon plastics, they are (or were) specialists in the stuff, and once stocked specially etched teflon just for gluing. Maybe they still do. Option (n) is to pinch the pads off a dead good quality mouse. Cheers, R2 |

| 218132 | 2004-02-28 05:51:00 | Don't know if it is teflon or not but I have seen this cover thing that goes over an iron (you know, those things that get wrinkles out of clothes - not that I ever use one, of course :p) that is supposed to make it nice and easy to get wrinkles out of clothes. You could have a look for that and see if it will do the trick for you. Would have to chop it up, of course, but there would be enough for half a dozen mice probably. | Susan B (19) | ||
