| 218280 | 2004-02-26 04:07:00 | The best way I have found is to boot up the laptop with a DOS boot disk and go to C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\cabs. run setup.exe and this will do a repair install. You should not lose any settings or apps. It sounds like its getting terminal so I guess you have very little to loose | paulw (1826) | ||

| 218282 | 2004-02-26 07:40:00 | apart from any programs that have been installed, as the folders are there but the registry keys are gone. if it's a driver problem you could delete the enum key in the registry and do a reboot. I agree with the folders/cabs but use the /is switch. :) |
