| 218211 | 2004-02-25 23:02:00 | Until recently I could wind up on IE6 by clicking on Mail, bringing up OE6 and then clicking Send/Receive to send and receive my email. Recently, however, when I bring up OE6, clicking on Send /Receive immediately shuts down my connection to the server and the only way I can proceed is click on the OE6 icon and go through the dial-up procedure to make a new access whereupon everything works fine. Have been through all options and configurations as far as I can see but can't rectify. My OS is Win2K. Anybody cracked this one ? ? |

| 218213 | 2004-02-26 21:48:00 | For Susan B. Unfortunately, your suggestion doesn't work and in any case, I want to shut down from OE automatically as soon as mail is downloaded as every second counts with gouging Pacific island ISPs. As I said in my first msg, this was all working fine until recently. I have additionally discovered that trying to access OE by clicking on "Mail" from a web page is only one way of initiating a disconnect ................... disconnect will also occur if I click on the OE desktop icon at any time when online with IE. By the way, I have a friend in NZ who has an identical problem. Thanks for trying. Yagi. |
