| 218252 | 2004-02-27 01:54:00 | Not a good idea . That subject always leads to tears before bedtime, tantrums, and personal abuse . Then it gets nasty . Any OS with all the features everyone might want, and "easy to use" is going to be enormous, enormously buggy, and totally insecure . It will also be unmaintainable . Some with less features are like that already . As far as I'm concerned, the ideal OS is one which will load programmes and stay out of my face . Any computer I use is intended to do the work I want it to do, not run bloody operating systems . |

Any computer I use is intended to do the work I want it to do, not run bloody operating systems . :^O Agreed, too much emphasis these days is towards getting the OS to do what you want it to do, how to customise it etc . The OS is there for you to run your programs . You don't buy a computer so you can run an OS on it and have a jolly old time . |
