Anyway, my dream is (once I have much backing from my being rich (I have a few rich dad / poor dad books)) to make one superior O/S. Using ideas from previous operating systems and desktop enhancing programs. WHO WILL HELP? Anyways, I'll start: +desktop interface using features from desktop x, talisman, and objectdock. +API using features from objectbar, windowsblinds, windows, MAC OS X and linux +File System compatible with NTFS, FAT, WinFS, Linux and Mac File Systems +NO SPYWARE/TRACKWARE: I don't care if you pirate my software or whether you use ms office or open office +Only works if TCPA is disabled on the motherboard +Fully customizable API, Logons, Bootscreens and easy to use +Loads GFX drivers before bootscreen loads so 48bit colour bootscreen with %computername etc able to be used +COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS/MAC/LINUX PROGRAMS This could be the 31337 h4xx0r OS cos in the future mac and (maybe) linux will probably follow windows with TCPA type protection. Imagine this: PIRACY IS BACK! -buy/copy L33T@OS today! Open Source released 2 months after boxed program. I realise it will take a shitload 'o code but hey, even if I don't make money, I'll call it a donation. (of course the developers will be payed) Remember. not much is impossible.....	hamstar (4)

218244	2004-02-26 07:49:00	OS/2 has got a truely object orientated desktop called WorkplaceShell which no current Gui has been able to come anywhere near technical . 218247	2004-02-26 08:26:00	apart from some "bill" from the great USA that is in front of the congress that states ( my interpretation ) that any tech savy that builds,distributes or modifys any non-compliant palladium/TCPA device or OS is subject to jail/fines etc... Geoff Palmer has ( and wrote/published thanks pcw ) some insights into just TCPA or as I know Pallidium and what it means to the average unformed user. If you want to make an OS? by all means, you're against more than what you think will sell. :)	zminos (5010)

Microsoft built their empire on that stuff! :D As for TCPA... it's deliberately hard to understand so people don't understand and therefore make no fuss. How much simpler can it get than this: Boot from CD Select TimeZone Select Installation type (Complete System, Unpartitioned space Dual-boot, or I forget the 3rd option). My family have a Boot screen (like what Whundoze does) except its of a Landscape - a Clifside next to the ocean actually.... Sure the themes alright but the taskbar is square and opaque. It just looks too, linux. Ya gotta do a mix up of all OS's. It's sharp like OS/2. >Why not just change your Desktop Shell???
