| 218204 | 2004-02-25 21:13:00 | Hi all, I have brought a copy of XP Pro from a friend, he built a PC and thought he wanted XP pro but decided against it and has 2000. It has never been installed on any machine. I currently have XP Home on my machine. Can I use this to upgrade Home to Pro or will I need to do a complete reinstall. Thanks for your help |

It can be done but you may find some drivers don't work. It is probably safer and you will get a better installation if you back everything up and perform a clean install of XP Pro. | Sb0h (3744) | ||
