2004-03-01 06:31:00 | Yes, Fergie. It was too good to last, as the regular price is $199.. What a pain. You are correct as I just saw on the DSE site. Some are listed at Palm Nth, but thats a long way from NP. Maybe they will have it again sometime. Even at the $199 price it's a great mp3 player. | Bazza (407) | |

Note: You must have the NetMD driver and SonicStage installed on your pc for this to work!!! But after that you just use RealOne for your music transfer. Works with other Sony Music Devices. |

2004-03-01 13:03:00 | HEy Azreal.By using the real one player to transfer does that overcome the copying 3 times to the minidiscman only problem? I had the DNE1S as soon as it came out.A newer mp3 sony discman is called the DNE9 its available in hk.Probaby U could ask an ebay person.Email them and see if they can get one for u.I am bidding on a minidiscman at ebay at the moment.ITs about 340nz dollars for the mzn10 brandnew .The seller is from hk.Although there is tax involve when sending the stuff from nz to hk.MAybe U can get them to write the price in the parcel bag lower than the price u bought it because new zealand charges 12.5% of the total cost of the product. This is the total amount after adding the insurance cost+postage cost and the product cost. Probably a hundred dollars. But it should be cheaper to buy it overseas.Dne9 is not released in nz and i don't think it won't until maybe a further 2 years. MZn10 took a year to come out.

2004-03-01 13:05:00 | One thing i didn't understand was that my dad sent me a cd writer but the customs didnt charge any tax .It just went straight through to me.I wonder why?ITs a new cd writer. Its a 4x 4x 6x cd writer. It says at the customs new zealand site that if a product is worth 50 dollars or more it charges tax.But they never charged me tax on the cd writer.I wonder why? | yingxuan (3330) | |
2004-03-01 13:11:00 | FERGIE. WAit a bit longer!!!.They'll keep restocking.Lol.Lastime I bought a discman from them.IT was published at the sony nz site.I went and ordered the dej 985 discman. They said Yep.We'll ordered that for u so i payed A week later.I call bak and it still haven't arrive.Couple days later.I went back.STill haven't arrived. So I asked mason and they called sony what is happening. They said not release in nz yet. There's no stock.Have to wait one more month.lol MAn that really made me mad. I eventually had to wait for a month. The next discman I bought was dne1s and it arrived in a week. The bad thing was that I bought dej 985 because it cost 400 dollars and dne1s was 600 dollars After I bought dej 985.Dne1s cost 400 dollars. So i was quite fed up and sold my dej 985 for a better one which was dne1s U should wait a bit longer when new discmans are released in nz.BEcause a couple months after the release they slash the price a bit

2004-03-01 18:42:00 | yeah, but i want in the next few weeks - going away - and my old ones packed up. Also - i was thinking of buying from ebay (not just the cd player - but otherthings also) Whats the rules on buying from USA? Do you pay tax on tht? and if so - how?, does it arive at your door - and does it come with an invoice to pay customs or something. And i once brought a $300 gadget from HK - and it came straight to me?

2004-03-01 18:52:00 | NO ones really talked about battery life here yet. I think as far as battery life goes the NetMD is going to be better. I have the MZ-N05 or something like that. the rechargeable battery with it gives me something like 10 -15 hours. If you were to put in 1 single AA energiser battery or the likes you apparantly can get up to 50 hours of playback. Transfer speeds to the netmd aren't slow either, i'd imagine not as quick as the Ipod, but still nothing major, obviously you must realise a NetMD doesn't actually transfer MP3's, rather it changes them to sonys ATRAC3 format.

2004-03-01 19:43:00 | I know you have made up your mind to go MP3 CD, but it would be remiss of me not to point you in this direction... www.flashcards.co.nz I bought my MP3 player from here and I was impressed by the price and speed of delivery. I do NOT work there, I was looking for a MP3 player and was unimpressed with the larger chain stores and the cost of an Ipod or any MP3 player from the states (most retaillers on Amazon will not ship outside of USA) I have had no problems with the player at all, and I can use it in the car using a tape adapter from DSE ($35.00 cost)
