1357952 2013-10-26 02:50:00 I need to install Kaspersky Internet Security and I happen to have the Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 CD.

I know the key on the CD sleeve will work with latest version which is Kaspersky 2014.
It seems with each new version, the software suite seems to bog down your PC performance.

Has anyone had experience with Kaspersky suite in terms of PC performance ? Will installing 2011 be better option then 2014?

Thanks

1357953 2013-10-26 02:59:00 I wouldnt install any version. If its like the earlier versions it was known to crash. And it also blocked webcams from working if you had / or used one Speedy Gonzales (78)
1357954 2013-10-26 03:01:00 is there "light" low system performance impact Internet Security suite for free that I can install ? learning (5137)
1357955 2013-10-27 03:43:00 NOD32 might be lighter, I don't know. Not free though.

You could try MSSE

1357956 2013-10-27 08:26:00 I tried kaspersky 2012 and hated it, went back to msse. No Idea if it's improved.
Suites are over rated, get a good Anti virus and use 1 or 2 free anti malware programs and you're fine.
