| 1356834 | 2013-10-22 08:08:00 | After at least a month of putting up with this annoying problem (despite trying Wainui's suggestion and many others including telecoms technicians )I have found a fix so thought I would post it for other people. Press Ctrl O and a box will appear, type into it xtra co nz (not dots) and you will go to the yahoo telecom homepage. Sign in then minimise the page (do not log out) and open Outlook and click on send receive) Voila - no more annoying pop up box! |

This is why sometimes if a person uses FF as the default browser links in mail wont work. Looks like its IE remembering the user name / password. But hey  Thanks for reporting the find. One question ---- I'm curious now -- If you close IE then run ccleaner, removing the xtra cookie, does the pop up appear again ? |

Funny thing was if I sent a test email to myself I could receive it and then sometimes other emails would also come in. I kept getting the pop up box appearing many times as I was tring to send the email and I would get an error message "Your server rejected your username and password - really strange! | dianne pierce (13385) | ||
