| 1335215 | 2013-04-02 23:16:00 | Pretty cool, although I'm not yet convinced electric cars are the be all and end all of saving the planet. Those batteries are made up of a lot of hazardous materials and likewise it depends one where the electricity comes from. That being said, running 20,000 cars of single electric plant is going to be a lot more efficient than running 20,000 cars with their own petrol engines. I think it will get a lot better once we get a safe and reliable wireless electric system (or alternative electricity storage system) sorted. Having the cars drive around the cities/major highways on "wired" power with a small battery for driving off the grid would be better. Still, it's good to see these people working on these concepts and making them real! Each generation of electric car inspired the next generation to be better :) Nice vid Billy Although, I do agree with DeSade... for some reason all these eco cars are made to be the most disgusting things I have ever seen. It's like they intentionally hire the worlds most passionately ugly designer to make the most hideous thing known to man. Concept, nice. Reality, quite a sad little car. I see their potential in urban environments. |

| 1335217 | 2013-04-03 00:29:00 | Actually affordable if you live in Canada and the States and since most people over their have a journey distance of less than 10kms each way makes sense to run one. Although as PC said needs a style make over. I would have one as a second car though if I didn't cycle everywhere in the city here | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1335218 | 2013-04-03 00:44:00 | I don't think they make them any more. Problems with promised battery technology that didn't eventuate and very few sales of the lead acid battery model. | tut (12033) | ||

| 1335220 | 2013-04-03 01:03:00 | There was another concept I liked. A small car driven by compressed air from large carbon fibre bottles under the chassis. Never heard any more about that one. | tut (12033) | ||
