| 1356782 | 2013-10-24 06:15:00 | I don't mean to nasty wai, but I've sent thousands of emails over the years, probably more than your posts on here, rofl. Have done a print screen, but don't think I will add this as it shows my private details. Suffice to say the message was going to be derogatory to wh*** blog. Lurking. Very wise, doesntt do to show your privates!!!! PJ |

| 1356785 | 2013-10-24 06:37:00 | OK ---- This is weird. you're not going to believe this: Gonna need my thinking cap on for this  5266 Like the rest of the sign :D Well now, this requires some thought alright. Ok, what we have established is that an embedded/inserted photo sent from the same computer turns up fine in an Outlook address but not a Hotmail address. My Wifes address is Hotmail not Outlook. My mates address is Hotmail not Outlook. My mate has probably thousands of contacts who use his Hotmail address as he has travelled the world extensively and deliberately used a Hotmail account so he wouldnt have to notify everyone if he changed ISP. I wonder if Microsoft, in their tireless endeavours to stuff something that is working fine, are loosing the pictures in the redirection from Hotmail to Outlook????? And thanks Wainui for the heads up on my Hotmail address being available to potential Spammers, but believe it or not I have had that address for years and despite it being readily available through many sites I have never had a problem. Well now Ive stuffed it havent I? |

That what I was thinking as well. Just found out something real interesting. I logged into the Outlook.com account, and forwarded the mail with the picture to another account, non MS as well as a live.com account-- LOST THE PICTURE as soon as I hit "forward". |

. I can see this keeping me awake most of the night. :D Well heres something else that's even more weird. I got a couple of accounts with both live.com & outlook.com. Now the weird part, the exact same mail shows differently when forwarding from different accounts. I sent a mail from my normal work account in outlook 2010 on the computer , to both live.com and outlook.com cc'ed it. Both arrived fine with picture embedded. Went to forward and WTF ? On the live.com account it went: my name and email address @ live.com my original email address Picture On the Outlook.com Account it went: my original email address Picture Basically live.com added in an additional email address ?? go figure ?? Looks like when they went from Hotmail to Live to Outlook .com somewhere along the lines not all functions got carried over. ( that's my excuse anyway ) :D :p |

| 1356789 | 2013-10-24 08:08:00 | Hope Microsoft don't screw-up Outlook Express next, otherwise it's Yahoo or Gmail for us. Outlook Express has been end-of-life since before Vista launched 7 years ago. They're not going to suddenly change it. |

Well at least it has served my needs since Win95 and still does !!. OE6 I see is 2004. Yahoo is the next highly used and GMail comes a lowly third. Hotmail was good in it's early days as it's was used a lot while o/s and used by Genealogy Groups. Lurking. |

I embedded/inserted a picture in a G-Mail account of mine and sent it off to my Hotmail account and bugger me but it turned up exactly as it was sent. Another thing I cant understand is there seems to be very little about the problem on Google. What is there appears to be pre Microsoft taking over Hotmail. Wainui, can you get any help on the matter from Microsoft given your status? There has to be a logical explanation surely? :groan: |
