1357912 2013-10-25 21:35:00 What I want to do appears simple, but I cant find out how to do it.

I run Outlook on my laptop. I want to be able to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts with the newly installed Outlook on my Windows Surface RT, running windows 8.1.

I am already able to sync emails one to the other, but simply can't work out how to sync the other essential stuff.

1357913 2013-10-25 21:40:00 What email address do you have?
If you setup an outlook.com account you can sync emails calendars and contacts.
A gmail account will possibly do this as well but may not be free.

1357914 2013-10-25 21:48:00 I have a gmail address - for all sorts of good reasons.

I have an outlook.com account, and will try again through tat, but the syncing down to the tablet is the problem.

1357915 2013-10-26 20:41:00 Google purposely turned off this functionality, they have stopped support Exchange ActiveSync on gmail accounts

You could consider migrating your Gmail account into Outlook.com which natively supports this
