219558 2004-03-02 07:56:00 I haven't been able to find how this is done.

I want to be able to connect to my ISP by one click on my 56k dialup ISP shortcut, with no extra intervening clicks and steps.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

219559 2004-03-02 08:10:00 goto control panel/internet properties/connections and make sure that 'always dial my default' is ticked then goto the settings button and make sure you have your name and password in there..................then clik the E for internet explorer and it should pop up the dial up box.....when it does before you clik connect........make sure it's got 'connect automatically' and 'save password' ticked ............

to only do a single clik to make a connection you will need to place the conectioin icon into the 'quick launch' bar......

219563 2004-03-03 04:45:00 With your internet connection already configured, just

Open Network and Dialup Connections
Right click your Dialup Connection
Go to "Properties"
click the "Options" tab
Untick Prompt for "Name and Password"
Untick Prompt for "Phone Number"

Drag the shortcut to desktop or wherever...

I'm using 2000, so should be same as XP.
