| 219411 | 2004-03-01 21:53:00 | does any one have any knowledge of hp jetdirect boxes as i have recently purchased a hp laserjet with one in it but when i visit its ip address in a web browser all i get is "503 service unavailable" instead of the webpage? any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated as i cant find anything on the hp site. cheers Mark |

| 219414 | 2004-03-02 03:46:00 | Have a try with 198.168.x.x:8000 (you can find the IP address by using the TEST button). "jetdirect web jetadmin" to google will get you some useful looking links. The two HP ones at the top might get you going ... |

| 219415 | 2004-03-08 21:07:00 | i have no recently solved the problem, i have been away from the computer for a few days. but the weird thing was i needed a firmware upgrade for the builtin webserver to work, seems hp built all the nessasary things in place but put no webpage on it. and yes in regards to the port problem, it was open on port 80, just the print server had no page to serve me, so now i have updated firmware the built in web server now has a webpage. for future reference i can remember the exact version but u need a firmware version greater then x.0.7.*.* if i remember correctly Mark |
