219964 2004-03-03 08:51:00 Is there any way to stop those annoying ads that flash on and off and leap into your face when you visit a web site? My homepage is Yahoo and they have them all the time. Peter M (852)

219966 2004-03-03 09:35:00 Install Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla browser and nake it your default over IE. Enable the pop up blocker and ad blocking in Tools > Options > Privacy.

Bonus, enjoy faster web browsing.

219968 2004-03-04 01:06:00 Change your homepage, and email the management of Yahoo and tell them why.

My theory of why they do that is that (1) it's possible, and (2) the top management have been shown this and said (in their ignorance) "Oh. Isn't that clever? That will attract people's attention, and they'll buy lots of our products". Doh. My attitude is: "Stuff'em. With their products".

After checking out yahoo . com and the Aussie/NZ yahho home pages, I think that would have very little effect if any Graham . There is not enough substance in those pages to bring any of their executives attention around to the fact that they were being stuffed .
