220119 2004-03-04 07:31:00 Hi. My problem is this - I have some mpegs which play fine from the drive, but when they are transferred to a CD the sound disappears intermittently. The Video is fine, just the sound. Is there something in the settings that needs to be checked? I use XP Home, 1.2 GHz processor, 128 MB ram, Nero 5.5, 20 GB drive with 4Gig free space and WMP 9. A friend was able to play the mpegs ok so I`m presuming its the drives (both the CD-ROM and CD-RW have this problem). Thanks for any help,
Glenn

220120 2004-03-04 08:36:00 there are a few things that can cause this but running XP with 128 meg of ram would be my first pick. upgrade the ram otherwise try tweaking the cdfs cache. cacheman comes in handy for this.

is the cd drive having trouble reading the disk??

is the hardrive light on all the time when playing the movie??
