| 220313 | 2004-03-05 18:23:00 | I have an Acer 202t ltop with Xandros installed.The modem is a lucent tech AMR and will not work.Have tried the drivers in Xandros but no joy. Have the driver on disk for installing in WME.Can i install this driver?if so how?Where can I get the linux driver if the ME one is no good.The drivers I have found so far are not compatible with AMR. |

| 220316 | 2004-03-05 21:10:00 | To get the file from a Floppy> mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy cp /mnt/floppy/scanModem.gz ~/ cd ~/ Then follow the steps to un-gzip it and run it :-) Then: cp scanmodem.txt /mnt/floppy umount /mnt/floppy Be root as you do all this :-) Chill. |

This indicates that the modem, if present has a non-standard or ISA bridge. Please follow the directions in ModemData.txt.2 for identifying the modem properties when booting under Microsoft Windows. Also access any documentation sources on yourchipset. Guidance can only be provided AFTER the chipset and/or its drivers have been identified. So... Follow the ModemData.txt.2 file for instructions... If you _really_ get stuck identifying the chipset type, post back with the contents of File 2. Cheers Chill. |
