| 220121 | 2004-03-04 08:12:00 | I have just changed from Win 98 to Win XP. I cannot find how to start X.P. in Safe Mode. Help says : Go to start, Click "Shut Down" Does it mean "Click, Turn Off Computer"?. Next it says Click Shut down in drop down menu. There is no drop down menu. In Win 98 I just clicked Start, whilst tapping Ctrl and I could get to Safe Mode. Please help. |

| 220124 | 2004-03-05 08:50:00 | Its always hit and miss for me starting into safe mode by "pressing the button at start up" I prefer this way...only works for XP (I think) Start --> Run Type in MSCONFIG then enter find the tab called boot.ini Put a tick in /safeboot then OK Restart your computer and it works everytime. No buttons to push! Once you have done the business in safe mode just take out the tick! |
