| 220812 | 2004-03-07 06:45:00 | I have one of these drives MPG3409AT The system board on the drive fried the other day I am sure the contents in the drive are OK just I cant get to it. It contains a lot of Family Photos and stuff I would rather not lose. If I managed to get a similar model say a 20Gb with the same system board and swapped them around would I be able to retrieve my data ? Or does anyone know another way to recover this info... | 220813 | 2004-03-07 07:04:00 | You would be better to get an identical drive, then provided you have skills to make the change you might be successful. However, if the electronics fried because of a drive motor failure then professional recovery is your only option. That can cost heaps I'm afraid. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
