| 220759 | 2004-03-07 00:06:00 | my XP start up has recently been sluggish. I open msconfig and found it wasn't normal startup things like Norton Antivirus components but an XP system service. I want a fast boot up but I also want the cool looks of XP. Should I try bootvis? |

| 220761 | 2004-03-07 00:27:00 | don't forget to defrag, empty temporary internet files and empty temp files. In winxp these are located in "Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\temp" you need to set the folder options to view hiden and system files. I recently did a cleanup on a friends computer, I defraged and deleted 400mb of temp files and 650 mb of temp internet files. the computer now boots and runs heaps faster |
