| 220732 | 2004-03-09 00:25:00 | That's interesting Big John. I have only ever looked at the Telecom usage meter because I figure that is where the billing is going to come from if I go on to a data capped plan. I just checked my Paradise usage and this is what is shown for 15 Jan - 11 Feb: International National Equivalent 719.74 Mb 133.65 Mb 733.11 Mb (sorry, the formatting of this is beyond this website - there are three figures that are International, National, and Equivalent - I presume the latter is the charging figure - i.e. 733.11Mb) The Telecom usage meter shows: 18 Jan - 17 Feb = 1756.45 Mb Quite a difference... |

Check out your usage on the Telecom Jetstream usage meter and see what it says you are using each month just as a check. |

| 220736 | 2004-03-09 04:40:00 | Bear in mind that if you're a new customer, Xtra is waiving the $99 setup charge, whereas as far as I know, Orcon isn't. For an existing jetstream user, what I have just said wouldn't affect them. | somebody (208) | ||
| 220737 | 2004-03-09 06:34:00 | Ah Hah! Proof those scums at telecom are operating a scam!! Charging people for excess usage when their usage meter is grossly miscalculated!! Clearly people use under their usage amount if you check via the ISP usage meter, but with telecom they must add 1.4mbs for every mb you download! What a scam! Somebody should sue them. | PoWa (203) | ||

Scums!?!?! :o If you're so sure, why don't you lead the way? |

The $99 setup fee waiver special applies to all new Jetstream customers. You can order Jetstream on this page (www.telecom.co.nz) and specify which ISP you wish to go with on the order form. |
