| 221091 | 2004-03-08 08:24:00 | Hi, our CD RW/Rom stopped reading CDs. So we checked the Device Manager and it says everything is ok with the CD. We then tried the Recovery Disk, which the CDRom read perfectly, but there was nothing on there to solve the problem. Have tried a couple of other CD's again and again no luck. Very strange!! We're operating XP Home. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you! CHeers Linda |

| 221092 | 2004-03-08 08:48:00 | What type of CD's are you trying to read? Are they music, data, retail/copied? Have you tried cleaning the lens with a CD-ROM cleaning disc? Sometimes dust on the lens will make it harder for the drive to read some discs. Especially if the discs you are trying to read are a bit scratched. |
