220973 2004-03-07 23:26:00 on closing Firefox, the pc freezes and I have to reboot.Have uninstalled-reinstalled but it wont fix it!
Luckily I have my bookmarks saved. So looks like Firebird for now, unless someone has some other suggestion on how to fix it,thanks.

220974 2004-03-08 01:19:00 Did you completely remove Firebird before upgrading to Firefox? You need to delete the folders Phoenix and Mozilla from C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data.

Another thing to check are your installed extensions and skin theme. If they are not the latest specifically for Firefox they can cause problems.

Try uninstalling again, remove the two above folders, run a registry cleaner and then install Firefox again and see how you get on.

220975 2004-03-08 05:36:00 Hi F&I,yes I've done all that, and had just the bog standard Firefox,as I read others had a few problems with extras. Thanks anyhow,I've reverted to Firebird,as I use this all the time.Must just keep saving these bookmarks!
This freezing was happening if I had one or more than one tabs going. So I give up for now,Firebird actually seems faster, great what imagination does for one!
