221740 2004-03-11 08:43:00 Well, we read it - if that's what you mean?

But did we understand it?

For that, you'll have to be more explicit...

221742 2004-03-11 09:19:00 That one won't be one of the problems, surely?

But that " other cup." Wellll....?

^^^^^^
Be specific, as Laura said.. If you want to air problems, follow the advice from Susan B and say in the heading what the problem is. Just to say " I've got a problem" or "Help" gives no lead to those who could assist.
Cheers anyway ........

221744 2004-03-11 10:52:00 Looks to me like the person has bought a new pc,its having issues and they made a post just to see if it would actually do so. metla (154)
221745 2004-03-11 11:00:00 And then the "problems galore" were so galore he couldn't get back into PF1 to read it, eh?
Sad.....

221746 2004-03-11 18:29:00 Sorry guys, wasn't in the mood to elaborate last night. My new PC os giving me grief, this site as an example.

I clicked on Post New Topic, then had to sign on, wrote a message then when I went to Post New Message, had to sign on again and lost it!!!

Be interesting to see if this gets where it's meant to go.

Same thing happened on Avsim.com site. I wrote a response to a poster, took me about 20 mins, it asked me to enter my user name and password again, and when I did it wiped my message! The language was colorful to say the least.

Internet causes problems as well, as does the horrid OpenOffice programme that Quay Computers promised would work as well as Microsoft Word does - and it doesn't.

So yeah, issues all around.

Oh well, off to work. That'll make me feel better - not!

C ya

221747 2004-03-11 18:49:00 Open Office. Why do you think it's free. That's all it's worth?

A word of advice Tim: Compose and save your responses in Notepad then copy them into the site message box. You can stay off line while writing to save ISP costs or to free your phone line for incoming calls if those are issues, but better still, you don't lose your thoughts if the site or computer glitches. I have a "Temp message" file name that I just overwrite with the next message, but I always save the current message in case the computer hangs or some other nasty happens.

Cheers
