222539 2004-03-14 09:29:00 Is there any color programme, preferably freeware, that will allow you to select one shade of color pixel and replace it with another color, replacing all pixels in the picture of that shade at one click ?, instead of having to fill one pixel at a time over the whole picture. The picture in question would mostly consist of only about six shades of color.
A color replace programme.

You will probably have to add plugins and/or filters to achieve what you want.

222541 2004-03-14 11:33:00 GIMP for Windows was on the October 2003 PC World CD. I'm pretty sure that could do it. There were some other free graphics apps on that disk too. What you are trying to do can be done in Paint quite easily though it's a little tricky to set up. You click on the Pick Color tool then left mouse click on the colour that you want to change to, then click on the Pick Colour tool again and right mouse click on the colour that you want to replace. Then choose the Erase/Erase Color tool and RIGHT mouse click and paint over the colour you want to replace. You will find that only the colour that you want to replace is converted to the other colour while any other colours are left 'as is'. Magic! :) Rod J (451)
