| 222406 | 2004-03-14 04:06:00 | I installed BF1942 along with all the patches up to 1.6.19. I then installed Desert Combet Mod 0.3n Alpha and Parallel World 0.61 mod. The game played alright, but then when you try to activate those mods and get into the mod, you can't load any maps! This is a mega *****. I then tried to play it like normal and the game wouldn't even load! It had splash screen but stopped there. It wouldn't load the game. Since then I have tried reinstalling, installing the mods first then the patches overtop and reinstalling, installing patches first, then mods but to no avail. Anyone know why it hates me, I'm not using a No-CD crack or anything, and both the cds are in drives. Should I just not install the 1.6 patch. Anyone know of a rollback for it? Cheers. .ham |

| 222407 | 2004-03-14 04:53:00 | hmm, umm, it could be the desert combat mod, 0.3n is rather old, i think the newest one is 0.6 something. it might be in-compatible with 1.6 BF, but im not sure. it seems theres a lot of conflicts around with BF and mods and maps. | agent_24 (4330) | ||

I'm on dial up - and the 591mb file just seems a tad bit to big :p Has anyone played many of those other mods (less than 100mb)? anygood ones? There wouldn't be anyone here with a heap of BF mods that would put them onto a cd(s) and send them out would thye? i'll pay ya for postage and the cds? Just a thought |

| 222412 | 2004-03-14 07:50:00 | Yeah well after I posted this, I talked to cold_fusion and he called me a %#$*&@# dork... the old mods don't work with the new engine. So the original game must be throwin a wobbly at theses mods being in the game folder. Maybe if I delete them it'll work. >u say it as if it was so easy...
