222469 2004-03-14 04:57:00 Hi i am doing some surfing of info for an assignent and have been printing some pages of stuff off.
But it seems to be cutting the bottom lot off?

i am using Mozilla Firebird, and as an example i have the 5 word header of essay on one page and the info article written on another but it cut the bottom off this and no 3 rd page printed?
have i set something wrong somewhere?

is it resizing or something????

not much good to keep if it wont print the whole article ........
this is for personal reading, not planning on reprinting or copying any of this stuff, but would like the whole article, this has happened twice in the last 10 mins.

any ideas?

222470 2004-03-14 06:18:00 Web pages are designed for viewing and not for printing.
Its the nature of HTML.

What you experience is common and not a "fault".

Copy and past the text to a Word document if you need to print it.

Womens Weekly have a computer page each week and they have an online site, if you have alook at this online you will find some info on this. Its under the Archives section and under Janaury.

222473 2004-03-14 21:42:00 You could try File>Page set up.

But it only gives the option to shrink width to fit page.I might print off some pages and see if they fit flush.

Do you have a url of a page that caused this when u printed it?

222474 2004-03-15 00:57:00 its this one i think??? i bookmarked a whole lot and they all come up with same name, so???

i did a shrink to fit option but the words/ text gets rather small then... but it printed the whole page ok then.

222475 2004-03-15 03:48:00 Some pages have a "Click here for a printer-friendly version" link. Others are meant to be viewed, not printed. :D Graham L (2)
222476 2004-03-15 21:02:00 I just had a look at the page, and once the screaming died down i used the print preview option in firefox and that page would indeed print very poorly under firefox.

IE6 made a hash of it as well, but only after its print preview displayed that it would print perfectly.

222478 2004-03-16 04:44:00 No, beetle, the problem is that you have visited that site. The beetle effect has permanently altered the web site. Now, anyone who goes there will have the same problem. ]:) Graham L (2)
