222598 2004-03-14 23:44:00 I managed to get my hands on an old AMSTRAD PC-14CM 14 inch monitor but realised that the monitor connector looks like a Male 9 pin serial connector instead of the standard 15 pin configuration.

The monitor still works as i used the old IBM 286 computer it was built for before i hacked it open for parts

my question is, is there any sort of adaptor that will convert the pin configuration on the monitor?

I have never seen an adaptor for this as I assume the EGA monitor wouldn't be able to handle the VGA signal. I stand to be corrected on this though :)

222601 2004-03-15 03:10:00 If it's a VGA, there are 9-15 adaptors around. Have a look at this usefulpage (ww.acl.co.uk) for the pinouts. I think it's possible to convert EGA, too. Graham L (2)
