Also, can a friend use this start up disc for her PC computer which has a virus, and needs to be cleaned and the start up re-loaded Many thanks, Angels |

By startup programme to you mean a propriatary Compaq programme or the disc with all the software that was supplied with the computer. If the latter it will only work for Compaq computers and most likely just your's. Have a look through the FAQ's (top right of the PF1 page, can be slow to load) FAQ 1b, 8a, 8b, 8b, 9a & 11 (b b, don't ask ;) ) and whatever else takes your fancy. Come back if you have any difficulties and don't do anthing drastic without backing up your (friends) data. Cheers Murray P |
