| 222989 | 2004-03-16 18:53:00 | Yes Im familiar with the first (C:\Windows\Start\Startup), getting rid of unwanted startup programs (and starting desired apps). But how do I delete unwanted startup apps in msconfig startup list. I ticked the ones I dont want, that fine but how do I take them from this list entirely. Thanks John W in Mosgiel |

Otherwise you'll have to do a bit of registry editing. Click Start Run type: regedit Browse through: HKey_Local_Machine (This is where it gets a little hazy, Im goin from memory here) \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \Run (or RunOnce) Im pretty sure that's where CurrentVersion is, might have to leave that out though. Have a look around there. Do be careful, and make sure you export the keys before you hack it up too badly ;-) Cheers Chill. |
