Is there any key difference between the amd athlon 2400+, and 2600+ there is a $30 price difference and I don't quite have enough to get the 2600 this week so is it really worth waiting another week for the higher speed rated 2600 |

Assuming they have the same cache & bus speed, the 2600 is only ~8% faster and in the realworld you won't see even that much difference. But if its only another week, and given the price diff is so small, just get the 2600. |

Make sure your proposed Motherboard supports the AMD 2600 as well though before you buy.
Some motherboards will support the 2600 and others won't as the 2600 has a different core to the 2400. |

Yeah, check. My motherboard only supports a 266mhz FSB, so that would rule at the 2600, unless it was an old 2600 that has a slower FSB. |

Okay, yes my motherboard is a gigabyte nforce2 that will support a fsb up to 400mhz |
