222899 2004-03-16 04:45:00 Greetings All,

I decided to try a C.A.D. program called: General Cadd. I installed it and it seems to work fine in its demo mode. Now when I open IE6 or ToniArts Easy Cleaner, and probably others not discovered yet, I get this message even though the programs seem to run fine and the computer seems to be OK as well. The message is:

'The procedure entry point RtlUnhandledExceptionFilter could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll'

with the usual OK button which I click on and everything procedes as normal. I tried uninstalling the CAD program but the problem remains.
O/S is Win2K Prof. Event log and sys log show no error of this type.

Does anyone know anything about what this means and how I will repair this?

Regards Rob.

222900 2004-03-16 04:51:00 I'd pick that the CAD programme loaded its own version of ntdll.dll. :_|

Which is a version which doesn't include (or has mispelt) a procedure (subroutine) which the OS needs.

Oh dear. X-( (or words to that effect).

You will need to get back to the official version, but from the name it appears to be a routine needed only when strange errors occur.

You may very well be right. I have checked and ntdll.dll exists in sys32 and is an old version, no sign that it has been modified, I have looked through the instal log for the program and it mentions a few dll's that have been written to! I have emailed the company with a bug report, there is a special form that comes with the program. If no joy from them I will attempt to reinstall a previous version of the dll. If it was Win98SE I would know exactly what to do, ie SFC, does anyone know what the equivalent is in Win2K?

CU Rob.
