1336994 2013-04-14 22:44:00 We're thinking of putting in a network switch in the cupboard to link the rooms up.

There is a light switch next to it but we rather not knock another hole. There might be a electrical cable from the attic that runs down the cupboard to downstairs where the previous owner added a master bedroom. Is it possible to tag off that cable and add an extra outlet?

1336997 2013-04-15 02:05:00 No problem, but you MUST use a registered electrician as Richard said. Arnie (6624)

At least tv and computer network cables don't need an electrician . Or corret me if I am wrong .

As long as he works to code.

If the correct wire is in place then yes. He can't tag off the light circuits.
