1336265 2013-04-09 23:56:00 This is probably not the best sort of forum to ask this question as most of you geeks will have beards......!
OK the question is what is the best electric shaver - don't care about price (well within reason).
Appreciate any feedback.

1336266 2013-04-10 00:06:00 Spend the $$, you really do get what you pay for.
Also depends on you type of whiskers. If you have heavy thick whiskers, you need a shaver with some grunt & speed.

Panasonic is what Ive found to be the best **NOT THE CHEAPIES !!!!!
get the one with the "Linear Motor Drive" that runs at 13000 -14000 cycles per minute
Hard to get in NZ & rather noisey. Try ebay, amazon etc
The Panasonics on Trademe usually arnt the ones you want.

1336268 2013-04-10 00:33:00 Can't stand electric personally, not that I have tried many but every one I have used just failed to cut nicely.

wet + bladed shaves go well, you can flick over and get a closeish shave (but not super smooth) or take your time and get a real decent shave. No electric can rival the closeness of a bladed shave, but 90% of the time I wouldn't really "appreciate" the ultra close shove. I mostly just whisk over and bail out the door haha.

1336271 2013-04-10 02:15:00 I've used a Philips cordless one for years, just bought it off ebay, it was a good quality one though, I wouldn't bother getting a cheapy. Only other electric I have tried was a Remmington, I hated it, it tore half your skin off when you used it lol. Iantech (16386)
1336272 2013-04-10 02:33:00 I have used a wet/dry shave Panasonic ES-SL41 for the last year and have been impressed with it. Only problem is that to replace the foil and cutters costs more than the shaver itself. Price for a foil is $56NZ and the cutters cost $53. A few days ago I got a Remington MSC140 for $17 and it does a good job. QW. (15883)
1336273 2013-04-10 02:36:00 It is interesting reading reviews and for example the BESTMODO: Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D cannot find in NZ. OK can see it on EBay.
Just wonder why Philips does not sell it here?!
