1336408 2013-04-12 02:24:00 PC techos would not know how to open the bonnet of an iPad and anyway they don't need fixing! stuffed (1469)
1336409 2013-04-12 03:32:00 Like you say then, they are stuffed. Cicero (40)
1336410 2013-04-12 04:29:00 PC techos would not know how to open the bonnet of an iPad and anyway they don't need fixing!:illogical So you're saying Ipads cant and don't break --

Thats made my day, what a load of BS.
Tell that to several people I know that had ipads and they simply sh1t themselves one day, it was cheaper to buy a new one than get the original fixed.

Even then they went for Android devices due to ipads not being able to do tasks they wanted /had to do.

1336411 2013-04-12 05:58:00 Windows 8 is a failure. I remember people defending Vista the way they are defending 8 now. Vista was still a failure. goodiesguy (15316)

1336413 2013-04-12 08:21:00 Windows 8 is a failure . I remember people defending Vista the way they are defending 8 now . Vista was still a failure . Why is it a failure ? and be exact and specific with actual facts . Not just it sucks - thats NOT a explanation .

I've sold lots of Windows 8 systems or OS's, and not one of the customers have complained about it . The main difference is the looks of the start screen and the start button missing .

One customer who brought a all in one earlier this week summed it up nicely - he had heard all the comments about windows 8, after I had installed all the programs he wanted, I gave him a few minutes instructions on how to use windows 8 (and I mean less than 5 minutes to a guy who only does basic things like emails, work documents and web browsing, online banking)

His comment was
" whats the actual problem ???? - people who think this is hard are either completely stupid or have their head so far up their own ass they cant see a good thing if it bit them"

Later that day he called me back saying he absolutely loved this new system, the more you use it the more you learn . Outwardly Its basically windows 7 with a couple of visual changes .

Edited: if you think W8 is a failure then you're not going to like this - From Microsofts site:
End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance-- End of mainstream support ---- Windows 7 January 12, 2015

1336414 2013-04-12 09:35:00 I'm still on Win7 the only reason I haven't updated to 8 is due to financial reasons, I have played with it briefly instore and it seems easy enough gary67 (56)
1336415 2013-04-12 10:18:00 It is easy enough Gary, I bet if I put up screen shots of a Windows 8 and Windows 7 Desktop with the same Icons, but hid the taskbar so you couldn't see if it had a start button or not no one could tell which was which. If they could it would be a straight guess as they couldn't tell why. wainuitech (129)
1336416 2013-04-12 11:04:00 Windows 8 is fantastic, if you don't like it fairs fair, I don't like OSX, but it's not shitty or a "flop" of an OS, I just prefer windows.

In all seriousness I don't think you can call Windows 8 a flop, vista was a bit buggy and had a lot of compatibility issues, 7 was *perfect* and people just need to get used to 8, they resist change. If 7 had been released after XP it would have been as much of a "flop" as vista was.
