I am opposed to those people who would denigrate marriage by allowing same sex poofters to marry. What about the inviolable sanctity of marriage? The marriage vows specifically state that marriage is between a man and a woman. The marriage vows do not say anything about poofters. Besides, I do not want my marriage (between myself and my wife) to be seen in the same light as poofters. I am happy for them to call it a union or some other name, but stay away from marriage. Marriage is sacrosanct. Let's keep it that way! |

At the end of the day its not going to affect any of the people complaining at all. It has NEVER been proved that a referendum reflects the opinion of the majority - it only represents the majority of the votes cast. The majority of decent honest upstanding citizens in our community do not vote in referenda. |
