1336547 2013-04-12 22:48:00 My wife and I are currently in Surfers and so thought would get both of us the Vodafone Zone 1 100MB data bundle for $15. It has been great but to get a text from Vodafone in the middle of the night saying you have used 80% of it -grrrrrr. Come on Vodafone - toss some technology at it and if you must send a text - do it in the waking hours of the country your client is in! stuffed (1469)
1336548 2013-04-12 22:52:00 But what if they left it until say 9AM the next day and you went over the 100MB cap and got charged extra?

It's better if they just send the message as it is. Chances are if you go over you're going to be actively using it anyway, must have been right on the edge of 80Mb and a sync or update pushed it over, thus triggering the text at midnight.

1336549 2013-04-12 23:10:00 Text is not guaranteed service, how do you know it wasn't sent at say 7pm and got held up and either the vodafone nz or vodafone au side? Alex B (15479)
1336550 2013-04-12 23:51:00 Midnight is not that bad. I once had an automatic text sent to me at 4:30am... pcuser42 (130)
1336551 2013-04-13 01:50:00 Ever heard of "silent mode" ?
That's what my phone is on at night.

I don't normally get texts overnight so I don't bother...

1336553 2013-04-13 02:03:00 Surely getting a text in the middle of the night would not be loud enough to wake you. Bobh (5192)
1336554 2013-04-13 02:20:00 Personally, I have never been woken by a text. Maybe if I got a whole heap of notifications in a row it would do it. The Error Guy (14052)
1336555 2013-04-13 03:12:00 I turn my phone off at night.
