| 223430 | 2004-03-18 01:35:00 | Hi, I use Win98 and plenty of oomph and 512RAM Question; when trying to open something in note pad I get the message 'it isw too big for notepad would I like to open it in wordpad'. Of course I say OK and it comes up in printer language. Thanks John |

| 223432 | 2004-03-18 01:49:00 | Notepad can only open files of limited size. I forget the limit but it is not very big. The message you are getting is nothing to do with your available memory. For larger files use wordpad as Windows suggests, or get Metapad, a free download that has more features than wordpad. If you are trying to paste in a complex document you should ensure that the program you are using supports that file type. What type of material are you trying to save in Notepad, and what is its original file extension? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 223433 | 2004-03-18 02:19:00 | Notepad has a limit of 32 kB file size. If you are getting funny characters then the file is not designed to be read in notepad (or Wordpad). |
