223421 2004-03-18 01:58:00 If you have a broadband connection and are thinking about downloading Linux then this is for you. This small program will check your downloads for errors, and check your burned CDs file by file for errors. There are several versions I used the version that runs in windows, it is free and so simple to use. I checked all my my CDs in about 20min .

223422 2004-03-18 02:32:00 MD5Sums come with a lot of things on the net nowadays, including nVidia drivers amongst other things.

All my apps I download are automatically MD5 sum'd to make sure theres been no corruption in the download.

Quite a good idea, and its not just one that's restricted to Linux. There's Windows MD5 Summers available too.

While you're at it, another good ftp for Linux .iso's is the Ibiblio ftp :-)
