224129 2004-03-21 08:55:00 Hi, I have recently install jetstream, and discovered that I can send emails via outlook express, as I get the following message,
"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3.xtra.co.nz', Server: 'smtp.xtra.co.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"

I use Zone Alarm Pro as a fire wall, any suggestions on help (I tried the Xtra help desk but they weren't much help)

Help - any suggestions?? -
Thanks

224134 2004-03-21 19:20:00 is there any chance that the dial up connection is still set as the default connection of outlook express?

Open OE
Go to tools | options | connection | change

should be "never dial a connection"

224135 2004-03-23 00:11:00 Hi,
Thanks for all of your suggestions, in the end I found that it was Norton Anti-virus preventing emails from being sent - which I have now fixed.
Cheers
Paul
