223826 2004-03-20 04:51:00 ethernet speed ethernet (www.telstraclear.co.nz)

from site:

>Paradise LightSpeed 10G
>$139.95 per month + $10.95 per month for your Cable Modem rental
>10Mbps downstream/1024kbps upstream
>10GB of monthly traffic
>$14.95 per additional 1000 MB (up to 6 blocks)
>$0.01495 per additional MB (after 6 blocks)
>up to 6 email addresses
>access to paradise.net's helpdesk support, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

speed looks good, but is it value for money? but per excess mb charges are good

223829 2004-03-20 05:45:00 What would be the point?
Why get a connection that you could go over the limit of in a matter of minutes?

256K is more than enough for most users on 10GB.

My 2 cents anyway....

Chill.

223830 2004-03-20 07:47:00 You could use up the limit that quickly (it's not a limit though in the first place), but you'll find that MOST people won't. It's a good price for some nice high speed internet, a decent cap and good speed for a good price. Just because it's 10Mbit doesn't mean you have to use it all. -=JM=- (16)
223831 2004-03-20 08:13:00 And also, just because you're on 10MBps, doesn't mean everything will load that fast.

You'll always run across a server running at only 1 or 2MBps, or (forgive me for even suggesting it) even 128KBps.

223832 2004-03-20 09:36:00 Or you'll come across Pressf1 which dedicates a whopping 14.4kbits/s to each visitor. PoWa (203)
