223790 2004-03-20 01:53:00 Hi there, i foolishly pulled the grip of my bat and it is really difficult to get back on, any tips on how i go about this..Cheers MrBeef (342)
223791 2004-03-20 02:10:00 When I was a kid we used to just grab some heatshrink. It wasn't a very nice replacement but it worked. bmason (508)
223792 2004-03-20 02:11:00 If it's rubber, water is the recommended temporary lubricant. It will still be difficult. Can't you get a "stickytape" grip you can wind opn? Graham L (2)
223793 2004-03-20 02:21:00 Take it to a sport shop, I believe they have a machine that does that sort of thing. Quite difficult to do by hand as you have to roll it back on.

Wind on grip, that won't do for a cricket bat ;)

223794 2004-03-20 02:23:00 Common problem.

If it’s still mostly on you try to roll it up like a doughnut and just roll it to the bottom of the handle and then unroll it. Bingo. If it has come right off you roll it up on a broomstick or similar and then holding the bat handle and broomstick end to end you roll the “doughnut” from the broom handle to the bat handle. If this fails your local sports shop will have a special stick for such occasions. :D

223796 2004-03-20 03:29:00 like PoWa said - take it to ya local cricket shop - they will have a machine - just stretches it out - and puts it on. fergie (424)
223797 2004-03-20 05:41:00 Dont worry anymore. Managed to get it. Talcum powder (was smelly **** to) on both sides and managed to get on side to folder ontop the other inside it and then held onto the grip and banged down on the floor (on a supporting beam of course tho) :P MrBeef (342)
