That may be so, but a lot of us build computers, and many reformat often, so it's handy to have some of the updates ready and available on CD rather than having to download them every time. And hopefully (since I don't have mine yet) there's a system that'll install them all for you if you need them, rather than having to do them one at a time.

223884 2004-04-13 22:23:00 My reasons for wanting the CD are the same as Mike's - to hopefully streamline the process of updating computers after a format or system restore .

By the sound of it the CD makes the process much quicker than installing them one by one even if the updates have been downloaded and saved from Microsoft's update page .

Another CD has been ordered as I am getting rather impatient . :p

223885 2004-04-19 05:32:00 Greetings All,

As you may know, I was one of the first to order my CD, however months later and still no CD so I decided to re-order, and that was a while ago.

Today when I got home I opened my letter box, I had long stopped hoping it would be there, in fact completely forgotten and imagine my surprise when I found not one, not two but three CD's. Both my O/S's are up to date and since the date of the Cd there has been more updates but one day perhaps I will use them.

Is this a case of "TOO many, Too late"?

Regards Rob.
