2004-03-21 08:58:00 Did your dad set a BOIS password himself of did it come with one?
If it did you should be able to get it form Toshiba Support. Have you asked them?

2004-03-21 09:12:00 There's a little trick that you can use to bypass the password... but it involves disassembling a parallel port cable and some resoldering. I don't want to tell everyone on PressF1 what it is in case it's used wrong, but get my email address out of my profile and I'll email it to you. wintertide (1306)
2004-03-21 09:23:00 sounds interesting...........um......how could it be used 'wrong' .?...........I somehow doubt too many folks here would be interested in this for any 'wrong' reason lol drcspy (146)
2004-03-21 09:24:00 Plus the sound of resoildering a computer ... doesn't sound cool ah. JamesStewart (874)
2004-03-21 09:40:00 I've used it before and it's fine... it's actually just resoldering the parallel port cable. I didn't want ot put it on this site because I didn't want anyone with bad intentions to steal anyone's laptop and removing the password so they could sell it on. wintertide (1306)
2004-03-21 09:55:00 if someone steals a puter i doubt they'll be put off by a password or want to bother doing some soldering drcspy (146)
