| 224381 | 2004-03-22 10:26:00 | I have just attempted to restart my computer. A program was running called Key Mapper, which prevented the computer from doing this. This was not installed by myself, and I am a home user, so no one else will have installed this. My virus scan program has not detected it, and my firewall settings are such that I need to be notified if a program attempts internet access. Ad aware did not pick this up. Is this a known key tracking program? If so how do I locate it to remove it? I was not listed on remove programs, so I presume it is somehow hidden Thanks Richard |

A key mapper, allows the changing of key functions on the keyboard . For example, a program may cause a Z key to produce a ® So the mapper may be part of a program you have . Also, Windows has it's own mapper as well . |
