I did not say the that you forced anyone to do anything did I? Installed on one machine yes, but usable on more than one Desktop at the same time, as I see it, assuming your suggestion works, which is debatable anyway. > > > Do i want to be the first to try? Well do you? I don't and that's why I'm not about to try installing PhotoElements2 on two desktops. > What sort of moronic statement is that? Oh I love that one. You calling MY statement moronic. I noticed you didn't actually answer the question though. > > If you see my comment as so unusefull, how do you > justify your post to me? My post to you was telling you in MY opinion that you advising the person of a way to get around the EULA rather than answering whether or not it would be legal to install on a network with one or more desktops was legal or otherwise given the said EULA. You did not give an opinion as to whether or not this was legal did you? > > Trying to massage your ego? No. > > I made a post that "tended" towards something? In my opinion yes. If I misread your post then please explain where I went wrong. > > whipdeedo. > > You should have a read of the thread the other night > discussing game cracks, should be enough to give you a > turn. Well crack all the games you want as far as I care. Pop back to your Villagers/Trolls etc. They just be a little less unruly than I am. :-) This assumes you can cow them down enough I guess. Please note that all questions in your post have in fact been answered. I like your selective quoting but really don't use that sort of thing myself. Have the sort of day you deserve. |

At least you are trying to do the honest bit and I know that these agreements can sometimes be difficult to read through and understand. > I emailed the Unisys people about it, and they sent > me a questionare about my uses, and the company I was > in, but I don't work, being a lazy student. Not all students are lazy are they? > Hopefully they will say I can use it, otherwise I > will move to PNG, which I don't think are as good, > probably because I don't understand them, or havn't > used them much either. Errrrkkkk PNG files. Very good format but who uses them? What are you trying to do here? Why use PhotoElements2 in particular? If you bought PhotoElements2 and can't use it the way you want on two desktops then the program you bought just may be returnable. In New Zealand we have a situation where you can go into a shop and buy XYZ software. The EULA says that having "opened the packet" means you have agreed to all the terms and conditions of the EULA before you have read and fully understood these terms and conditions. Later when you go to install then you know what these terms and conditions are don't you? End User License Agreements from a foreign country like the USA and the U.K. may not be enforcable here. New Zealand law like the Consumer Act etc takes precedence over law enacted elsewhere as far as I understand it. Of course Metla will no doubt have a different opinion here. |

So therefore why make a post in reply to my post? Noticed once again that you don't answer questions..... I won't hold my breath here. Don't won't to turn blue like a troll do I? I don't actually need an apology either. |

In your spare time you just might like to learn English. > > whipdeedoo. > > If any software company wants to talk to me about it > they can contact me through my profile. Fair enough then. I just didn't want mejoebloggs to take all your advice without thinking. Being as you have a hardware shop in Wanganui you just may have a license to do what you want. > > Do the world a favour,go out on the street and play > in the traffic. I may do you a favour by doing that but I don't think the whole world would think so. You opinion once more may differ. Just try attacking the debate rather than the person. |

| 224569 | 2004-03-23 21:21:00 | Heh, interesting posts . I will use The Gimp now, as Unisys emailed back, and said that I can use the LZW, (or LWZ?) compression with GIF files in New Zealand . > Errrrkkkk PNG files . Very good format but who uses > them? What are you trying to do here? Why use > PhotoElements2 in particular? PNG is used by a lot of people, because of the problem with the LZW patents in some countries . I just noticed that the whole Gimp website uses them . I was using Elements to do web graphics |
