| 224282 | 2004-03-22 06:40:00 | Yingxuan, I use ClearNet YakPak 150, $15.00 for 150 hours/month before penalty rates come in as I have found out to my cost, with no warning, $64.00 last month. I stay on for hours at 49.2 Kbps, absolutely no problems. Biggest download I have done was 139MBs, took hours, no break and no problem. CU Rob |

| 224286 | 2004-03-22 09:25:00 | I have a record of it somewhere, I remember that it was about 8-10 hours overnight. On dial up on a good site I can get speeds of around 5KB/s. A rough calculation gives me about 5*1000*60*60=18MB/Hr. So approximately =8-10 Hrs. I have done many large downloads from MS and also OpenOffice was over 60M. I use Star Download, an older version. | 224288 | 2004-03-22 10:57:00 | Xtra, First it was with personal cos they the only ones who didnt put me on hold while trying to get the net, (everyone else did or i couldnt get through) they were very helpful, and i didnt know any better then. 2nd work related, they had the best deal at the time, and it was easier to go with them, so all one bill now. and if i had to chose again it would be with them again. as Metla says it depends on the area. and Wanganui can be shocking. they me be a little dearer but i find they suit me, beetle |
