224710 2004-03-23 23:46:00 i have 2 questions; Windows XP wouldn't load. I tried getting in by using my XP CD. It reinstalled but this only got as far as saying it could not see my harddrive?? How do i fix this.
In your dec 2003/jan2004 magazine, page 98, it suggests making boot floppy disc. When i go to type in xcopy c:\boot.ini a:/h it doesn't work??? Can you please tell me why?

224711 2004-03-24 00:46:00 Hi rexd,

Welcome to PressF1.

If your PC cannot see your Hard Drive, then no amount of Boot Floppies will make it "see" it again.

Try checking in your system's BIOS to see if it is actually picking it up.

If not, then you'll need to open the case and make sure all the cables are firmly pushed in to the HDD, Motherboard, and Power (to the HDD).

Hope this helps
